Let the good times roll......

We went to Houston this weekend to help Carman and Courtney paint their new house. I'm sooo excited that Carman is going to be so close and we will be able to see each other more often! They had lots of help and were able to get all the rooms painted. Everything looks great! We had a fun work party with Carman, Courtney, Terry, Randy, Fred, Rodna, Tim, Windy, Trent, Meagan and us. Carman's kids were with her Mom for the weekend, so we had Ty and Kody set up in a corner with their play station.... they were in heaven! After going out to eat on the 4th... we just watched fireworks in the parking lot on the hood of the car.

Wife of the Year!
Last night, we had the missionaries over for dinner... We had yummy chicken enchiladas and nachos, etc.... "Wife of the year" left the crock pot on all night long and woke up to a smelly house! Cheese anyone????

This is the fun way the kids keep up with Brennan and Payton. It's so cute watching them talk to each other. They get all excited and start acting really goofy. It's so nice to have Skype when your best friends move away!

I'm so excited to start my marathon training! I will want to talk about it on here, but don't want to bore everyone to tears! So, I decided I will just update about my training on Saturday mornings..... Officially I will begin on July 12th with a 3 mile run. And then each week I will add mileage to prepare for the race. I love running on Saturday mornings. Usually there aren't a lot of people out in the neighborhood (not many people leaving for work, etc) and it's a perfect day to do the longer type runs. Today I did 5 miles. I didn't wear a watch, I didn't have to stop for walking, and there was no pressure. Just a relaxing run. The whole time, I was thinking about all the marathon training I did about a year and a half ago. It got me really excited to start up again! I still want to use the Jeff Galloway method. Last time I did a 3/1 ratio.... 3 minutes running/1 minute walking.... but I think I want to use a different ratio this year. So, I will experiment with it as the mileage increases. .....so exciting.... =)

Since we had some kids spending the night, we were kind of *stuck* home on friday night. We didn't make our usual trip to Walmart.... ;) .....I'm tellin' ya, life is happenin' in Marble Falls! Haha! So.... we drown our sorrows in our favorite bag of Julio's! No salsa is required, but Torry insists.....

The boys had their BFF's over today. We spent most of the day at the pool.
After dinner, it was way too quiet. Our PS2 is broken at the moment... so they are having to be creative with their entertainment. Haha!
They are currently outside playing "crack the egg" on the trampoline.

Kody was baptized on Saturday. Many of our family members were able to be in attendance and it made it really special for Kody. I was so happy for him. Here are a *few* pictures from the day. I didn't get very many at the baptism.... I don't know what I was thinking??

Tonight was a special night for Kody. Grannie and PawPaw took him out to dinner for his 8th birthday! He picked Chili's! He was really excited to get to go out with them by himself. He had a great time!
