I've been baby sitting Garrett this week while Nathan and Candace are off on their cruise!
Yesterday we hung out with Khalil while Chase was teaching Ty and Kody tricks at the skate park.

Today was the Bluebonnet Festival 5K fun run in Burnet. I signed up with my running buddy Denise and my goal was just to try to keep up with her! She is Mrs. Speedy Gonzales!! When the gun went off... she was outa there!! I stayed about a car length behind her during the race... (sometimes 2 or 3 car lengths!!) ...But for the most part, I was able to hang just behind her! This is a definite improvement from last year!!
The other fun thing, is I ran into my original running buddy from Tow!! I was so excited to see Aimee and her sister Heidi there too! We had a great time just being together and hanging out. Why does she have to live 45 minutes away??
Soo.... my official time was 25:20! A personal best for me....
and the added bonus was that I won 1st place in my age group!
We all won in our respective AGE categories! =)
It took me 34 years to get a 1st place medal! Woohoo!
When I was about 8 yrs old.... I won 4th place in my age group in a fun run in Deer Park. =)

Last night around 6pm.... Beth decided it would be fun to take their JetSki out on the lake....
Chase, Stephanie, and Khalil were already out fishing, so they came over and met us. We only had about an hour before dark so we each took turns taking the kids out. I went by myself because I was scared to death to fall off of the thing in the first place... =)

Kody and his class went to visit a retirement home yesterday for their field trip. They sang lots of patriotic songs and had the audience in tears. It was really cute. After their songs... they handed out art work to the residents. Kody was scared to talk to the "old people" but he finally made is goal of talking to 5 of them...




This is our neighbor and the LOVE of Kody's life..... =)


She introduced herself to ALL of them.... and she was so cute and polite!
