The Story Of "Time Out for Women"

It all began here.......

Jackie, Cyndi, Roxanne, Me, Carman, and Windy all got together
for a fun girls weekend. We attended a women's conference
held in The Woodlands. We started out the night with a delicious meal!

I have been to several of these "Time Out" events in the past
and I really enjoy hearing the messages from each of the speakers.

Roxanne convinced Cyndi to join in with the crowd with enthusiastic clapping.

We had to go back for dessert!!

Back at the pajama party..... we discover Roxanne's weakness....

After a good night's sleep....... It was time for the Saturday Session.....

During one of the breaks...... we took pictures with some of the musicians and speakers. Hahaha! This is Kenneth Cope... I had a crush on him from the EFY days......

I was so excited to see Jill Allred! This is Adrian and Beth's aunt and it was so fun to talk to her and catch up for a little bit. I had been looking for her throughout the day and Carman spotted her for me! We had a great time! She is sooo nice!
Of course, we talked about Beth and wished she was here too.... she had me all teary eyed before too long!

After the conference..... the girls wanted to go shopping. I'm not a big shopper,
so I took that time to call my Mom and catch up with her.....

And then we went home to our hubby's.....

Overall, it was a really fun weekend... with a few cheesy parts!

Happy 35th Birthday Torry!!

One of Torry's Brazilian patients brought him a blast from the past! This was a drink that Torry used to have on his mission in Brazil! He LOVES it and won't even bring it home to share. He's keeping it at the office for his personal stash! :) I did steal a taste and have to admit it's really good!!
In other news......... I've been really sad lately because I'm missing my BFF!! I was thinking back to last year at this time........ on March 10th....... we had a farewell dinner for Adrian because he was leaving for St. Kitts! For several weeks........ it was party time for me and Beth as we worked together to get her house all packed up for them to join Adrian....... ;)
I can't believe it's almost been a whole year. We had so much fun with that family!! So........ here's to the Allred's!

Conoco Phillips 10K Rodeo Run

Cathy and I ran a 10K race over the weekend. (6.2 miles) We did this same race about 5 years ago... It was great to do it together again. We have both improved a lot since then! Haha! She did it in 48 minutes and I did it in 53 minutes. :)
