He Did It!!!

So, Kody saved up his money because he wanted to buy a Rubik's cube. (We think he bought it back in November.) He was asking us one day if we had ever solved one before. No way! Torry jokingly said that if Kody solved it, he would win $50!!! Well, we all know how Kody feels about money... haha! He was on a mission! He has been working very hard for a couple of months looking up different websites that teach algorithms. These websites are WAY over my head, so I haven't been able to help him at all. All of the hard work paid off tonight. He was working with the cube and all of a sudden he said he solved it! We all freaked out and jumped up and down and screamed with excitement!! Then he told me to mess it up. So I scrambled it all up again and he solved the whole thing again in about 4 minutes! We are so happy for Kody tonight! He worked very hard for this one! :) Time for Torry to PAY UP!!!

Meeting Carlie...

Now that Nathan and Candace are home from the hospital, they invited us over to meet little Carlie. What a sweet little baby girl! We each took turns holding and loving her. Congrats again to the new parents! :)

So, we had some major wind last night.......... This is what we woke up to see in our backyard!

I'm watching Garrett today while we wait to hear from Nathan and Candace!
She is in labor! We can't wait to meet little Carlie! :)

Buried Treasure!

We borrowed the metal detector from my Dad so we could go exploring down in the lake..... (They have drained it for the next several weeks to let the lake front homeowners have time to fix their docks) We had fun this morning playing around and finding buried "treasure...."

I finally found a minute to learn how to capture video. (Thanks Nathan!) I'm in the process of going through our VCR tapes and 8mm tapes and converting them to digital. It is going to take me forever, so when I come across cute little clips like this... I may just have to add them to my blog... The sound is a little "off".... not sure if that was my fault or just the technology? Anyway.... here is little Kody...
